Ready Steady..... Go Go Go

Plans for our launch are going well - thanks to those who enquired about having a stall it’s great to have you with us. On Tuesday Simon Lycett, the most amazing florist confirmed that he’d cut the ribbon at our opening next Sunday, December 1st. I’m very grateful to Community Barnet who have tweeted

and instagrammed this wonderful news to the world. With just 1 week remaining it’s turning into a real community event and family affair. New Barnet is now second home to my sister who’s normally to be found at large in Abernethy, Perth. Next week she’ll be running the floral white elephant and tombola stall with the help of my 2 daughters. Sparklight, the electrical wholesalers and my landlord are providing the mulled wine and gazebos, whilst their son Adam and his friends are providing some of the live entertainment - Adam confided in me that some of his friends aren’t used to crowds of less than a couple of thousand, so goodness knows who’s performing!! The Quaker meeting house 4 doors down have kindly offered us the loan of their trestle tables and Antonio, the builder, has got second wind promising me yesterday a few last minute cosmetic adjustments and construction work, so I can see that the paint is going to be barely dry next Sunday! Talking of paint drying the sign writer comes on Tuesday. In the midst of this planning I received an email from Price Waterhouse Coopers enquiring as to whether I’d like to collect 80 table arrangements from a lunch time event they’re having next Friday in Bayswater. I don’t need to be asked twice and they’ve kindly paid my congestion charge too - I hope this will be the start of something truly amazing. Have a wonderful week.
