Without wishing to sound too much like an acceptance speech at the Oscars I have a few thank you’s to make. Firstly, thank you to everyone who came to The Flower Bank opening, stall holders, visitors (all be it flying ones Floyd & Martin Laheen) the wonderful Simon Lycett and to everyone who just got in touch - we made it! Thanks too to everybody who kindly donated their unwanted coats, the photograph is of Lisa from Colindale Food Bank holding 2 of the 23 we collected. Thanks too to Lizzie Hawkins who was a complete trooper preparing and then mingling with the mulled wine and of course my sister who tombola’ed away the afternoon. Helen Harte, from CommUNITY Barnet, my apologies for disastrously failing to tell you we’d cut the ribbon and for doubting the power of social media. For those of you that haven't seen our social media, check it out. Julie and Lesley who worked so hard in the run up and on the day itself. And finally In true Oscar style I’d like to thank my parents particularly my mother who died during the crowdfunding campaign and in whose memory I continued. I’ll be at the Arts Depot winter fair today making winter decorations, should any of you be passing please drop in.
