The Impact Results Are In

This week has been phenomenally busy collecting Mother’s Day flowers, vases and containers from supermarkets. The photograph shows Wednesday’s collection of flowers from Aldi East Barnet!! Some of the boxes of flowers hadn’t even been opened! The waste really is shocking but fortunately I’ve now got enough different organisations in Barnet and Haringey to pass them to. The results of Middlesex University students environmental impact were revealed to me yesterday you’ll be pleased to know that The Flower Bank re-purposed 58% of wasted and donated flowers which is great but there’s definite room for improvement.
